For a four button game this is phenomenal. There are weak and strong attacks, punches, weapon attacks, specials and super specials. In order to succeed within this game, players will need to master timing and blending together counters, evasions and specials. Much like the Street Fighter franchise, fights in Gundam Wing require strategy that the player will develop overtime. Players are able to control the gundams with a high level of accuracy, they can block, thrust and jump around the screen. For example, the Tallgeese mobile suit is able to hover longer than the other fighters, and each Gundam has a different ability rating and special move. It has everything gamers love about fighting games. The simplistic nature of this game makes it extremely addicting. Of course, this is further expanded with the addition of the Gundams. Endless Duel has an extremely thoughtful arcade style feel to it, initially this game seems like the classic Street Fighter game, in terms of fighting sounds, background music and layout. Players will be able to make use of boosters that enable to fighters to jet around the screen. The Mobile Suits are well designed and very much adhere to the anime's renditions, and the fighting mechanics are simply amazing. Everything is detailed, colorful, and smooth. From the character selection screen, to the versus screen animations, and of course, the fighting gameplay. The incentive for single player mode is that by winning players can unlock more playable characters. If the player chooses to play in single player mode, they must play through battles, which vary depending on which Gundam they pick. There are a few Second generation Gundams as well (Wing Zeron & Epyon). Fans of the anime will love this game as the five original Gundams are featured Wing, Scythe, Heavy Arms, Shenlong, Sand Rock and Death are all parts of this game. There are the Space Colony Gundams, or the Earth's Romefeller Foundation Army. Players can choose from a variety of Gundam suits and their pilots from one of two factions. The gundam is operated by a pilot who sits inside of it, much like they would an airplane or car.
